What happens
- You tell us what you are seeing and where. Photographs help a great deal.
- We come out and inspect — inside first, then the roof space, then the roof or elevation.
- You get a written finding setting out the cause, not just the symptom.
- If work is needed, you get an itemised quote naming the system, the area, the guarantee term and the exclusions.
If the answer is that you have a ventilation problem rather than a waterproofing problem, that is what the report will say. We would rather tell you that than sell you a system that cannot work.
What to have ready
None of this is essential, but each one makes the visit faster and the answer better.
- Photographs. The affected area, and a wider shot showing where it sits in the room. If you have older photos showing the patch smaller, those are genuinely valuable — they show us the rate of progression.
- When it appeared, and when it is worst. Whether it tracks rainfall, wind direction or the season is often the single most diagnostic fact available.
- Access to the roof space if there is one, and to the roof itself.
- Any previous work. What was done, by whom, when, and whether it is still under guarantee. A previous repair is a clue, not an embarrassment.
- Plans or a body corporate scope if it is a complex or a scheme.
How long it takes
A standard inspection is 30–60 minutes on site. The written finding follows within two working days, and the quote with it if work is needed.
During sustained winter rain the diary gets tight and active leaks take priority — if water is coming in right now, say so when you make contact and we will move you up.

Common questions
Is the inspection really free?
Yes, within the greater Cape Town metro, for a standard visual inspection and written quote. A formal leak trace involving staged water testing is chargeable, and we tell you the figure before booking it.
How soon can you come out?
Usually within a few working days. During sustained winter rain, demand spikes and it can take longer — active leaks get priority.
